An update from Andy Halstead, Chief Executive on the Let Alliance Fit for the Future programme, in response to the tenant fee ban:
“Since our ‘Tenant Fee Ban Workshops’ in January, the Let Alliance team have been working to deliver the solutions that will change our letting agent proposition. We continue to work on the basis that all tenant fees relating to the granting, maintenance and extension of tenancy agreements will be banned.
We now have a number of new products in development that will be available to our letting agent customers during the remainder of 2017, as part of our Fit for the Future programme. Very soon we will be ready to launch the first products and services, and to share more details with our customers.”
Let Alliance will also run a second series of letting agent customer workshops during May. The workshops will preview products coming soon, provide an opportunity to get feedback from customers as we develop our proposition and catch up on the current market and progress through the tenant fee ban consultation.
Andy says: “Our objective is unchanged – to work in partnership with our customers, with the single objective of replacing lost fee income and profit contribution, whilst simultaneously improving the proposition for landlords and tenants. Through Fit for the Future, our aim is to deliver a proposition for our letting agents and their customers which is stronger than ever, provides more income streams and supports business growth and profitability.”
