Following the fifth consecutive year of delivering year on year double digit growth, Let Alliance has appointed Ian Shackell in the role Chief Financial Officer, subject to FCA approval.
After qualifying as a Chartered Accountant and then Chartered Director, Ian gained wide experience in finance, risk management, regulation and governance, particularly in the insurance industry.
Ian previously held senior roles at PricewaterhouseCoopers and Aviva before Board level appointments at Amlin Underwriting, Barbon and Cardif Pinnacle (part of the BNP Paribas Group). Ian has also held various interim management roles including Group Risk Director at Willis Towers Watson.
From start-up Ian has been involved with Let Alliance, initially as a Non-Executive Director.
Andy Halstead, Chief Executive Officer comments: “I have worked with Ian throughout the last 11 years. Let Alliance has grown rapidly and profitably during the last 5 years. We now have a business of substance that supports more than 1,500 letting agents. The timing is perfect to appoint Ian with his outstanding track record, knowledge and experience, to my executive team. We are lucky to have Ian on board in an executive capacity; since start-up he has been a great support to our business in his non-executive role.”
Ian Shackell comments: “I am delighted to join Andy and his team at such an exciting and challenging time for Let Alliance. The PRS in the UK is undergoing fundamental change and letting agents are facing enormous challenges. Let Alliance are perfectly placed to support letting agents and help them through the challenges that they face. I look forward to adding value to our customers and helping to ensure Let Alliance has the resources available to continue to develop, grow and deliver for our customers.
