Let Alliance specialise in providing products and services to the property rental sector, including but not limited to, tenant referencing, insurance and nil deposit schemes.

In order for Let Alliance to have your data we will have supplied you with a product or service in the last 3 years or up to 6 years if you have an insurance policy with us. This is likely to be that either we referenced you as a tenant or guarantor for a rental property, or we provided you with insurance for that rental property or a nil deposit scheme.

A copy of your data will be provided to you within 1 month of the request being received.

No, there has been no transfer of data and no changes to how your data will be processed and stored. All of our processes and systems remain the same, however, the firm responsible, as Data Controller, for the processing and security of your data is now Barbon Insurance Group Limited.

All of our referencing records will be held for a period as a minimum of the tenancy term and longer when there is an associated insurance policy in place to a maximum of 6 years. This allows us to retain accurate records of transactions and allows these records to be used in any potential legal claims or complaints.

We will keep your personal data for no more than six years following the end of your relationship with us as it is possible that we will need the data for legitimate purposes such as regulatory reasons, for any claims/ legal proceedings to be brought or defended and for other reasons including preventing fraud or financial crime.

You are able, if you wish, to request your data be removed from our systems. Where we have no lawful basis to continue processing your data we will cease to process and store your data.

Such requests will be assessed on a case by case basis and a decision communicated to you within 1 month of the request being received.
